It doesn’t matter if it is a senior in high school who has been coming to Thorn Grove for 18 years or if you're a 6th grader that’s walking through the doors for the first time, our goal is to love them the way Christ loves us.

1 John 4:19 says, “We love because He first loved us.” Here at TGSM we believe that we are called to show love to all people because of the unconditional love that God has shown us through Jesus Christ.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
First and foremost, you can expect the BIBLE. Here at TGSM we aim to open the Bible every time we are together. We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God given to us so that we can know God and understand how to serve Him and love others.

Second, you can expect WORSHIP! 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” In other words, no matter what we do in life, we are called to bring God glory! One of the ways we try to do that here at TGSM is by worshiping through song. At each of our Mid-Week gatherings sing together as a group. Some times we do silly songs, old songs, or new songs, but regardless of the song type, they are designed to bring God glory.

Third, you can expect FELLOWSHIP. Fellowship means to have friendly association with someone, and especially with someone that shares the same interests as you. Here at TGSM, we accept everyone just the way they are, and as people gathered together to study the Bible, sing songs, and play games, we are going to have some similarities. Therefore, expect to make relationships here. For me personally, I met some of my best friends when I began going to youth group as a high school student.

Fourth, you can expect to have some FUN. We are going to get serious about Bible Study, but we are also going to get serious about having some fun. It is not uncommon to find us outside playing frisbee after Bible study when the weather is right. So come join us for some fun!
